I have always wonder and think a lot about the gender discrimination in africa and even in the world at large although it is not as effective as it is in africa like other continents and this gives me a concern.Here comes some rhetorical questions,although it need some answers;
WHO DO WE DISCRIMINATE WOMEN?
WHAT MAKES THEM DIFFERENT?
WHY DO YOU THINK THEY ARE INFERIOR?
WHO TOLD YOU YOU ARE BETTER THAN THEM?
WHO TOLD YOU THEY CANT BE LEADERS?
WHO TOLD YOU THEIR EDUCATION ENDS IN KITCHEN?
That last question sounds funny right?
If you have answers to all questions above then you must have been thinking women so low or even females generally and that shows you are not sophisticated because if you are you wont think females should be treated less in the society.
According to constitution that guides almost every nation it states that every member of the nation has equal right under the law: this means that anybody that treat another person less or deprive them of a position all in the issue of gender is ignorant about the law and HE need to be told!!! Such people can be regarded as “EDUCATED ILLITERATE” thats even if the person is educated at all……….lolz
I have studied and noticed and i have even heard of many culture and norms,almost all culture especially in Nigeria irrespective of any tribe, in one way or the other treat women less ranging from local or indigenous festivals known as “ORO” where women are not allowed to participate,the funniest thing is that a short make-to-believe story or misery will be cooked up like “ANY WOMAN THAT COMES OUT TO WITNESS IT WILL DIE” Who told you so? your fake deity? or what d you c all it that comprise of human beings sounding like monsters?…………..i cant laugh.
PLEASE DON’T QUOTE ME WRONG!!!!!
I’m not saying this deity does not exist but why would you say women should not witness it? why not men?,I am yet to see where there is a festivals where males are not allowed to come out except the one that nobody should come out.
I’m yet to see a norms that says a man should wear black cloth or wear only 3 cloths for a year in memory of his departed wife but i have seen several occurrence in women…….WHY?
I use to wonder the reason men occupy all the key positions in the world, everything about leadership are for men,talk about president,senators,ministers,governors,principals,C.E.Os….if not for now that women are now changing their course when they are realizing men are cheating them in every way and even to the extent of saying it to their face.I laughed when i heard some parents has refused to send their daughters to school because they believe no matter how the case maybe, she will always marry and end up in the kitchen but i tell you today IT IS ONLY FOR FEMALES THAT DOESN’T HAVE FUTURE OR GOALS not people like TOYOSI AKERELE and others…….
I pity you if you dont repent and stop denying women access to some important need-to-participate actions and positions. Even in the BIBLE a woman(DEBORAH) was given a leadership opportunity so what are you talking?
In conclusion, I’m delighted because my dream has been coming true,women are now heading great positions in africa even to the extent of presidency PRESIDENT OF LIBERIA “ELLEN JOHNSON SIRLEAF” and PRESIDENT OF MALAWI “JOYCE BANDA” are both great women that are making me proud of women as to their performance and in the smooth running of their country, Infact i’m happy………..
